Kremlin issued directive to state propagandists banning all mention of Prigozhin & Wagner PMC
The trio - Prigozhin, Surovikin, and Kadyrov, had planned a conspiracy to take control of Russia, but failed.
First, this short 5 minute video provides an overview of the failed conspiracy planned by Prigozhin, Surovikin, and Kadyrov to usurp power from Putin by taking control of the FSB, Ministry of Defence, and Rosgvardia (National Guard). Surovikin is a Russian General and Commander of the Aerospace Forces, replaced by Gerasimov after only 3 months on the post in charge of the invasion of Ukraine.
Among other insights, the February directive from the Kremlin to Russian mass-media propaganda channels contains the following:
- General #Surovikin to be mentioned only in a neutral manner. - #WagnerPMC and #Prigozhin may not be mentioned when discussing combat operations.
- Do not cite Prigozhin's statements related to the war in #Ukraine️.
- Do not mention prisoner recruitment and prisoner participation in the war. - Wagner mercenaries & recruited convicts to be referred to as generic "assault squad volunteers" going forward.
