Igor, I've been following you since (I think) your beginning. This is excellent work! A great summation of fact and analysis. Bravo!
Unfortunately, as an American, my hope and trust in my govt on this issue is zero, particularly under the new regime. Still, it is important to lay out the realities of this situation as you did here for the rest of the world (Europe, are you listening?) to understand. It is their turn at the helm."
'prepare the battlefield in all domains' - a good summary for your very informative article. Will be interesting to see if Trump surprises me - a 1000% anti-Trump person living in Cape Town, previously apartheid South Africa.
What is Trump suggesting to prevent the farther Russian invasion? What are those measures? How effective will they be? And how realistically those measures to be implemented?
So far Trump said he wants to stop the war, but not to ensure Ukraine's sovereignty, security and independence.
I'm sorry to not support your passionate and logical arguments. But you must accept that Trump & Putin are partnered in the subjugation of Europe. I fully agree that Biden was a disaster. Trump manages to be categorically worse.
The problem is that Europe seemingly agrees with you that Trump is not a lost cause. The Financial Times had an article this week reporting that Euro military leaders are planning for a transition of the U.S. out of NATO in 5 to 10 years. This is destructive head-in-sand thinking.
Europe has to make a break this year. It is possible they will get lucky and Trump will announce a full withdrawal from NATO soon. More likely he will choose to remain and do Putin's bidding from within.
Please consider that the situation is truly this dire. Urgency is paramount.
Igor, I do hope the incoming administration reads this. I guess the question is the dynamic between Putin and Trump. Does Trump fear Putin? Does he owe him something? Does Putin have something on him? I'm not a military genius, but even I could see that the way we've helped Ukraine all this time has allowed a lot of unnecessary death and destruction -- as you point out. Thanks for this.

Slava Ukraini
Thank you for your kind words. I'm even surprising myself for feeling more optimistic about the situation than you.
There are certain signals and indications which I hope I haven't misread.

I do not like or trust Trump BUT if he can change the gutless policies of Biden and crush Putin like a cockroach, he has my support!!

It's just that you're missing one important piece of the puzzle my friend 👇
How beautiful is that graphic idea

Here's my thinking on the matter. Whatever kompromat there may have been, it's now useless.
